McLaren Paris opens as 'La Maison McLaren' with emphasis on creativity and culture

Art, culture, lifestyle and high performance join seamlessly together under one elegant roof at La Maison McLaren, a new hub of all things McLaren Automotive which welcomes its clientele and visitors in Paris today.

Now officially open, this unique ’House of McLaren’ in the French capital expands the idea of a supercar showroom by encompassing creativity, artistic endeavour and innovative technology in all their forms.

Executed with traditional French flair, La Maison McLaren promises a transformative experience for McLaren clients in France as well as a stimulating new destination for fans of the British supercar maker.

La Maison McLaren has been purpose-designed and built to use space, light, design cues, materials and the latest technologies in the most focused yet elegant way possible, mirroring the same attributes in each model of the acclaimed McLaren range. This melange of creative spirit is housed in an architecturally stunning building with large expanses of glass and views of the Eiffel Tower, creating a quintessentially French experience.

Artistry and high performance are summed up in one of La Maison McLaren’s commissioned pieces for the opening – a portrait of Ayrton Senna on the bonnet of a McLaren 720S, painted by renowned Parisian artist Hom Nguyen.

An exhibition of the light-weighting technology that is such an important part of McLaren DNA also features. While it portrays the brand’s signature technical precision and obsession with the finest carbon-fibre, it also showcases the sheer beauty of the parts that go into each McLaren car. This includes the airbrake and carbon clamshell from a McLaren Senna, a 620R suspension upright, a 720S brake calliper and even the exquisitely-crafted rollcage from the 675LT – all are essential supercar components, yet all are also artworks in their own right, and at La Maison McLaren are treated as such.

The two-storey McLaren Paris centre located in Saint-Cloud, offers easy access and a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. It combines workshop and atelier facilities with display space. For the opening event it will be filled with seven cars from across the Sports, Super and Ultimate Series ranges, and which together sum up the incredible first decade of McLaren Automotive.

The exhibits include the McLaren P1TM Volcano Yellow which introduced the world to the pioneering hybrid hypercar at the Mondial de Paris in 2012 – the brand’s debut motor show appearance. Other cars on display include the Visual Carbon Fibre McLaren Senna from the Geneva Motor Show of 2018 and the Verdant Theme GT by MSO presented in March 2020.
